Trees that should be kept outdoors for most of the year. Some may require protection during the winter, but never taken indoors for long periods. See our Free Bonsai Ebook for more information.

Whilst some collectors have had some success cultivating outdoor Bonsai in high light conditions indoors, such as conservatories, this is rare and not recommended, as low humidity & high temperatures can be a problem. Certainly areas such as window cills are not the place for outdoor Bonsai. This often comes as a surprise to those new to Bonsai, probably because most people only see Bonsai at shows or on TV in films, when they are being displayed, however this is not how they are normally kept.

Please note : The photos of our trees are obviously time dependant. Flowers & leaves will not always be in situ & leaf & needle colour may change depending on the time of year & even shape & dimensions may vary depending on trimming, restyling and growth. We do not generally send out care instructions with outdoor Bonsai unless specifically requested to do so. The trees come in the ceramic/plastic/mica pot as described / photographed but not the stand.
